There are about 200 million people every year. Premature death due to diseases caused by indoor air pollution, indoor air pollution has become one of the top ten threats to human health.
Compared with air pollution, there are many types of indoor air pollutants and their components are complex. The use of building materials, decorative materials, office facilities, daily necessities, as well as indoor ventilation and human activities may affect the types and concentrations of pollutants., So that the corresponding monitoring and control work becomes very challenging. In order to better understand the current situation and research progress of indoor air pollution, the staff of the Instrument Information Network (hereinafter referred to as the Instrument) specially interviewed Professor Zhang Pengyi from the School of Environment of Tsinghua University, and asked him to discuss the main sources, hazards, and latest indoor air pollutants. The purification technology, corresponding detection methods and instruments, as well as the problems and challenges faced by everyone were elaborated in depth.
